Ānāpānasati, is a recreation of the “mindfulness of breathing". This practice builds mindfulness and concentration by bringing attention to the sensation of the inhalation and exhalation.
The kundalini serpent rises from the base of the spine to symbolize life force and activation of the chakra system. The meditator sits upon a lotus flower with his fingers in Gyan Mudra to guide pure thoughts and wisdom.
This is the original edition pictured above, made from 1/4" Baltic Birch. This 7-layered wood art piece took over 80 hours to design and is a wonderful addition to any yoga studio or mindful home space.
